‘No-go zones’ brewing in U.S., author warns

Leo Hohmann – August 27, 2017

Driving into parts of inner-city Detroit, Chicago or Miami at certain times of day can be pretty scary, but when the drug culture meets Shariah law it becomes a whole new level of frightening.

Yet, that’s what some U.S. neighborhoods have to look forward to if things don’t change in Washington, says the author of a new book on Europe’s “no-go zones.” In fact, the early warning signs are already becoming visible in some U.S. communities, says Raheem Kassam, who visited more than a dozen Muslim-dominated enclaves on the continent.

The jolting message contained in “No Go Zones: How Sharia Law Is Coming to a Neighborhood Near You,” is one of warning for America, which is in the process of building up its own no-go zones by making the same immigration mistakes now on full display in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Almost daily reports of attacks, often with knives or vehicles, have been reported in these countries, while these type attacks are almost never seen in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, countries that have barred their doors to Muslim migration.

But Kassam is worried about the United States.

Muslims offended at hearing Bible verses, so Christians prosecuted

Bob Unruh – July 6, 2017

After Muslims had a violent reaction as two street preachers cited quotes from the Bible, the preachers were brought to court by prosecutors in the United Kingdom – and now they’ve both been cleared of charges.

However, a British Christian organization warns the message the prosecutors sent throughout the dispute is alarming: Submit to Islam’s Shariah law, and the government will “enforce the Islamist agenda of prohibiting any criticism of Islam.”

According the international Christian ministry Barnabas Fund, street preachers Michael Stockwell and Michael Overd were convicted in a lower court but then found not guilty of inciting public disorder at Bristol Crown Court.

The lower-court decision, from Bristol Magistrates Court, found them guilty of an offense under the Crime and Disorder Act, and although the appeals court cleared them, the message left by the prosecution is concerning, the Christian organization explained.

‘Shariah cop’ cracks down on Minnesota Muslims

Leo Hohmann – April 13, 2017

A 22-year-old Muslim convert has been denounced for trying to enforce Shariah law on Somali refugees living in Minneapolis, but he says he’s just trying to be a good Muslim and please Allah.

Abdullah Rashid married a Somali woman and moved from his hometown in Walton County, Georgia, to Wyoming and then on to Minnesota last year. Formerly Devon James Miller, Rashid now dresses in traditional Islamic headdress. But when he isn’t in a turban, he wears a green uniform with a patch marking him as the “religious police.”

That’s causing quite a stir, even in the Muslim enclave of Minneapolis’s Cedar Riverside community.

In a recent interview with the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Rashid said he aims to turn the city’s Cedar-Riverside area into a “sharia-controlled zone” where Muslims are learning about the proper practices of Islam and that “non-Muslims are asked to respect” it, the paper reported.

He pays regular visits to Somali households and makes sure the women are dressed in compliance with Islamic law, that no alcohol is being consumed and that nobody is interacting with the opposite sex.
