Idaho’s Central District Health Department reported on Tuesday that a child in Elmore County was recovering from the bubonic plague.
Known as the “Black Death,” the plague wiped out roughly one-third of Europe’s population in the mid-1300’s. But it is quite rare in modern times.
Evidently. It’s unknown whether the child — whose identity was not disclosed — contracted the disease in Idaho or in Oregon while on a recent vacation.
In a press release, the Health Department said that “Plague has historically been found in wildlife in both states,” and that “since 1990, eight human cases were confirmed in Oregon and two were confirmed in Idaho.”
The child who was diagnosed in Idaho this week was treated with antibiotics.

After a major campaign to impose controversial LGBTQ policies on the state’s 4-H youth program – including the admission of biological males into female restrooms, locker rooms, showers and overnight accommodations, as well as mandatory use of exotic transgender pronouns – those in charge of Iowa’s 4-H program now say they will not be adopting the transgender guidelines after all.
The dramatic turnaround comes after Christian public-interest law firm Liberty Counsel challenged the proposed policy guidelines on multiple legal grounds and demanded that Iowa State University, which administers 4-H in the state, reverse course or face litigation. Liberty Counsel, in turn, become involved as a result of WND’s investigative efforts, having published a series of exclusive reports on this below-the-radar movement – first in Idaho, and later in Iowa. The WND reports reveal a largely unpublicized, multi-pronged, state-by-state movement to impose highly contentious transgender policies on the nation’s 4-H rural youth organizations – policies similar to those that have caused major battles over their implementation in the U.S. military and which directly led to a national boycott of Target Corp.

It’s as if it never happened.
A judge sentenced three Muslim refugee boys in the sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in Idaho, but nobody knows the length or terms of the sentence because the judge has barred everyone in the courtroom, including the victim’s own parents, from speaking about the case.
The three boys — two from Iraq ages 7 and 10, and one from Sudan aged 14 — pleaded guilty in juvenile court in April to multiple counts of sex crimes in an incident that occurred last June in Twin Falls. The assault occurred at Fawnbrook Apartments, when 5-year-old Jayla, who is developmentally disabled, was lured into a laundry room, stripped of her clothing and sexually assaulted while the oldest boy filmed the entire incident.
Now, following a sentencing hearing Monday at the Snake River Juvenile Detention Center in Twin Falls, Judge Thomas Borresen of Idaho’s 5th Judicial District issued a gag order preventing everyone in the courtroom from saying anything about the sentence received by the boys.
Borresen did allow the family to say they were unhappy with the sentencing, but threatened to jail them for contempt of court if they say why they are unhappy.

One week after three refugee boys from Sudan and Iraq pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in Twin Falls, Idaho, the city council has voted unanimously to lay out the welcome mat for more refugees.
The council voted 7-0 to direct the city staff to draft a resolution declaring Twin Falls a “welcoming city” after hearing a pitch from local Boy Scout Troop 4, which is sponsored by the Mormon Church.
The Latter Day Saints Church sponsors a scouting troop that is involved in an Eagle Scout project to help refugees being resettled in the area by the College of Southern Idaho.
About 12 scouts and their parents showed up to promote the CSI Refugee Center and its continued resettlement of refugees from Sudan, Iraq and other parts of the world.

In the same week that three refugee boys pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl in Twin Falls, Idaho, the mayor and council floated the idea of passing a resolution declaring Twin Falls a “welcoming city” for illegals and refugees.
On Tuesday, three refugee boys — two from Iraq ages 7 and 10, and one from Sudan aged 14 — pleaded guilty in juvenile court to multiple counts of sex crimes in an incident that occurred last June at Fawnbrook Apartments in Twin Falls. It was there where a 5-year-old girl with special needs was lured into a laundry room, stripped of her clothing and sexually assaulted while the oldest boy filmed the entire incident.
They urinated on the girl, in her mouth, and committed other lewd acts captured on the video.
Sentencing for the juvenile criminals will take place at a later date. The sentencing date is being kept secret by the court.

Wildlife officials estimate that more than 4,200 birds have died from an avian cholera outbreak that started in early February.
The outbreak has occurred on private land, and the disease has killed mostly duck, but also some geese and other birds.
Currently, Idaho Fish and Game personnel are continuing to find and collect dead waterfowl in the Parma area in western Idaho. The dead birds are being collected by Fish and Game crews and volunteers and buried at the Fort Boise Wildlife Area to prevent and reduce further spread of the disease.
“We’re trying to minimize the impact,” said Tyler Archibald, Fish and Game habitat biologist at Fort Boise Wildlife Management Area.
Avian cholera is the result of an infection with the bacterium Pasteurella multocida. The bacterium kills swiftly — sometimes within 6 to 12 hours — and is released into the environment by dead or dying birds, or by birds carrying the disease.

Last summer, a 5-year-old girl was orally, anally and vaginally raped and urinated upon by three Muslim migrant boys in Twin Falls, Idaho. Since then, instead of getting justice, the victim’s family has been abused by law enforcement and governing authorities as if they were the criminals – because what happened to their little girl contradicts the politically correct narrative about Muslim migrants.
And it just keeps getting worse. The victim’s mother has now informed me that, despite the huge medical expenses for their daughter that this attack has necessitated, the state of Idaho has told her the maximum assistance that her family can get is $4,500.
Make sure you’re never raped in the state of Idaho: If you’re five years old and your attackers are from a politically protected class, you’re only worth $4,500.
There seems to be no willingness on the part of the state or the county to reimburse this long-suffering family for any of the other costs that they have incurred because of the crime. Because they felt threatened – with very good reason – in continuing to live next door to one of the attackers’ families, they have been living in a succession of hotels; they have spent in excess of $2,000 in hotels alone.
Why did they have to relocate? Because Muslims were stopping in front of their home at night and shooting bottle rockets at it at 11:30 p.m. Apparently that kind of menacing and harassment doesn’t qualify as demonstrating a need for relocation.

Here, for the first time, is the child’s story, as told to me by the victim’s mother. Their story has not been told. In the wake of the monstrous Muslim migrant sex attack on a little five-year-old girl in Twin Falls, Idaho, the media has waged a campaign of harassment and defamation against the family, in a desperate but evil campaign to advance their pro-refugee invasion agenda.

Matt Christensen is the editor of the Times-News, a local newspaper in Twin Falls, Idaho, where the Muslim migrant rape case about which I wrote here took place. Christensen wrote a sophomoric rant masquerading as an editorial in last Sunday’s edition, trying to fool readers into thinking the problem in Twin Falls is not Muslim migrant crime and its coverup by local authorities, but “gadflies” trying to portray Twin Falls as a dangerous place. Key question to Mr. Christensen: why would anyone care to do that, if what we are saying weren’t true?
Mr. Christensen smears, name-calls and libels the victim’s family, its supporters, my readers and organization members, and me. His entire piece is all ad hominem attacks. But the real question is this: why hasn’t Mr. Christensen dispatched a team to investigate the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl by a Muslim migrant trio` in his community?
Pamela Geller – July 29, 2016
The prosecutor in the Muslim migrant rape case of a 5-year-old girl in Idaho has been making the media rounds, boasting about what a great job he is doing while the family lives in abject terror. One of the rape gang still lives next to the little girl, and a third member of the Muslim migrant rape mob is still at large.
This ongoing coverup is unconscionable. Loebs needs to come clean and start serving the people, not the elites. As one Twin Falls resident told the City Council when they complained of getting bad press: “Sorry you feel like you’re being attacked, but this little girl was attacked.” It’s time that Twin Falls and Idaho officials stop the politically correct nonsense and remember that fact.
