Ole Miss Football Coach under Fire for Tweeting Bible Verses

Veronica Neffinger – April 12, 2017

An atheist group is arguing that a University of Mississippi football coach should be banned from posting Bible verses and other faith-inspired content on social media.

Relevant Magazine reports that Coach Hugh Freeze often tweets out Bible verses and uplifting, faith-filled content, such as this recent tweet:

Whatever commands the love of our hearts also shapes the direction or our lives; what we worship controls our choices, words, and emotions

Although such tweets may seem harmless, atheist organization Freedom From Religion Foundation issued a press statement saying that Freeze should not be allowed to post such content as an employee of the University.

Whatever is the thinking of this atheist organisation, once again we see an attack on Christian values, and freedom of expressing ones’ beliefs.  Christian values should be based on the Bible, the Word of God.  That is not always the case though, there are many degrees of being a Christian, according to the ways of man which do not always stack up to what God actually says.  However, to be free one must be able to choose what to believe and not have someone ordering you to go against your conscience.

Ever since the True Church began and they put to death its founder, persecution has never been far away.

…”And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Jerusalem and Samaria, except the apostles.

As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling (dragging forcibly) men and women committed them to prison” Acts 8:1,3

Being a Christian, one wonders how long it will be for the banning of Bible quotes comes to a point of dragging Christians forcibly from their homes and throwing them into prison for non-compliance of their rules, becomes the order of the day!
