JAPANESE lawmakers are calling for new laws to allow Tokyo to launch pre-emptive strikes against an increasingly aggressive Kim Jong-un.
The maniacal tyrant has angered the entire region with recent missile tests as he seeks to develop his nuclear warheads.
Hiroshi Imazu, the head of Japan’s ruling party, told The Washington Post: “Japan can’t just wait until its destroyed.
“It’s legally possible for Japan to strike an enemy base that’s launching a missile at us, but we don’t have the equipment or capability.”
Discussions surrounding the law change were supported by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and defence minister Gen Nakatani.
Nakatani told the paper: “I believe that we should consider having the capacity to strike.”
Japan’s current constitution, created in the wake of the Second World War, means it is illegal for the country to launch an attack – it can only go to war in self-defence.
But a group of influential politicians are lobbying for the law change that would allow them to take the front foot against North Korea.

LONDON, March 28 (Reuters) – Prime Minister Theresa May will file formal Brexit divorce papers on Wednesday, pitching the United Kingdom into the unknown and triggering years of uncertain negotiations that will test the endurance of the European Union.
Nine months after Britons voted to leave, May will notify EU Council President Donald Tusk in a letter that the UK really is quitting the bloc it joined in 1973.
The prime minister, an initial opponent of Brexit who won the top job in the political turmoil that followed the referendum vote, will then have two years to settle the terms of the divorce before it comes into effect in late March 2019.
“Now that the decision has been made to leave the EU, it is time to come together,” May will tell lawmakers, according to comments supplied by her office.

A new California bill introduced to state Senate will force transgender bathrooms in nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
The bill makes it unlawful to require transgender residents to use the biologically correct bathroom, and prohibits nursing home employees from calling residents anything other than their chosen name and pronoun.
Additionally, nursing homes that assign rooms based on gender will be prohibited from assigning rooms based on biological sex, if the bill passes.
State senator Scott Wiener introduced last week the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Long-Term Care Facility Resident’s Bill of Rights, which he says is needed to protect LGBT seniors from discrimination.
Section 1 of the bill argues that “many LGBT seniors are members of multiple underrepresented groups, and as a result, are doubly marginalized.”
The bill devotes a whole paragraph to defining the term “gender identity”:

The Daily Caller reports that a Christian college student has been suspended after allegedly challenging his Muslim professor’s claims that Jesus wasn’t crucified and that his disciples did not think he was God. Marshall Polston, a sophomore at Rollins College in Florida, was suspended after disagreeing with these assertions made by his professor, Areej Zufari, in his Middle Eastern humanities class, as reported by The College Fix.
“Honestly, it reminded me of some of the more radical groups I researched when abroad,” Polston told the Central Florida Post. “Whether religious or not, I believe even those with limited knowledge of Christianity can agree that according to the text, Jesus was crucified and his followers did believe he was divine… that he was ‘God.’”
After Polston challenged Zufari on this point, he received a 52 percent on an essay and says the professor refused to explain why. He was later reportedly suspended.

The chief of the European Commission has warned US president Donald Trump against encouraging countries to copy Britain’s exit from the EU, arguing that a break-up of the bloc could lead to a war in the Balkans.
Jean-Claude Juncker, speaking in an interview with the Financial Times, called Trump’s enthusiasm for Britain’s departure from the EU “annoying” and “surprising.”
Trump did indeed express his approval for Britain’s departure from the bloc, even labeling himself ‘Mr. Brexit’ during the US presidential campaign. He also became closely associated with the populist right-wing British politician Nigel Farage, then the leader of the UK Independence Party, who was one of those who led the push for the UK’s exit from the EU.
Juncker said he delivered his warning via Vice President Mike Pence during his visit to Brussels last month.
“I told the vice president, ‘Do not say that, do not invite others to leave, because if the European Union collapses, you will have a new war in the Western Balkans,’” Juncker said.

It seems that the 60th anniversary of the treaty that led to the establishment of the European Union has not met Eurocrats’ aspirations: multiple revisions of the Rome Declaration — the main document of the summit — indicate growing divisions within the bloc.
Commenting on the changes the declaration’s draft had undergone, Agence France-Press (AFP) pointed out that while the document was expected to proclaim the “multi-speed” European Union, Brussels changed the phrase and only stated that the bloc would proceed at “different paces” while “moving in the same direction.”
“We will act together, at different paces and intensity where necessary, while moving in the same direction, as we have done in the past,” the final version of the document reads.
Likewise, the phrase saying that the union promotes “gender equality” was re-written because of the pressure exerted by European conservatives. It now reads that the EU is “a union which promotes equality between women and men.”

As global financial markets teeter on the edge of collapse, a report published this morning suggests that the run up in the U.S. dollar may be over. As of today, some 80% of post-Trump election gains have been wiped out and as noted in the special video report from Future Money Trends below, it appears that things are only going to get worse:
China sold more U.S. Treasuries last year than any country has ever sold in a single year… $188 billion worth… Japan is also making an exit, selling nearly $30 billion since election day… Belgium, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia have all become big sellers too…
Official national debt is $20 Trillion… the real debt has been calculated to be $200 Trillion… what’s not included in the official numbers is social security, Medicaid and Medicare obligations… Think about it… every penny spent on the military, welfare programs, foreign aid and even your Congressman’s paycheck… it’s all borrowed money…
As explained in the video report, our creditors know this and they are in the process of dumping their holdings before the whole system collapses in on itself.

In some deep forests of southern Brazil, thousands of howler monkeys have been killed by what scientists called an unprecedented wave of death.
After the death of thousands of howler monkeys by the yellow fever virus, there now exists silence.
Well, now, the Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, a private federally-protected reserve, is experiencing an unprecedented wave of death that has swept through the region since late 2016, killing thousands of howler monkeys.
Responsible for this mass die-off is Yellow Fever, a virus carried by mosquitoes and endemic to Africa and South America.
